Building the Workforce Infrastructure of the Caribbean
TropiPay is an integrated payroll, HR, and compliance platform developed specifically for the operational and regulatory realities of Caribbean businesses built by people who understand the region.
A platform born from Caribbean experience
TropiPay is the brainchild of Byron (Adrian) Taylor and Yanique Taylor, who set out to address a persistent challenge facing businesses across the Caribbean managing employees, payroll, and compliance within fragmented and often manual operational systems.
Shaped by entrepreneurial roots
Their vision was shaped by deep exposure to entrepreneurship from an early age. Their father, Junior Taylor, is a seasoned entrepreneur whose experience building and managing enterprises across the region provided practical insight into the structural challenges Caribbean businesses face when managing employees and regulatory obligations.
A culture of initiative
Equally influential was the entrepreneurial spirit of their mother, Maxine, whose resilience and commitment to enterprise helped instil a culture of initiative and innovation within the family.
The vision
Inspired by these influences, Adrian and Yanique sought to build a technology platform capable of modernising how organisations manage employment, payroll, and compliance across the Caribbean. TropiPay emerged from that ambition.
Identifying the compliance gap
Adrian and Yanique observed first-hand how Caribbean businesses struggled with fragmented payroll and HR systems, often relying on spreadsheets to manage complex statutory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
Built on regional expertise
Guided by Junior Taylor's decades of entrepreneurial experience across the Caribbean, the platform was architected with a deep understanding of regional labour laws, tax frameworks, and employment practices.
Engineering for Caribbean compliance
TropiPay was built to embed jurisdiction-specific requirements — TRN, BIR, TIN, NIS, PAYE — directly into its core architecture, removing the need for manual compliance management.
One unified workforce system
Today, TropiPay supports organisations across Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, and Guyana — enabling compliant onboarding, automated payroll, and HR management from a single secure platform.
A platform purpose built for Caribbean complexity
Unlike global payroll platforms designed for North American or European regulatory environments, TropiPay is engineered specifically for Caribbean labour and tax systems.
Regional by Design
TropiPay embeds Caribbean-specific compliance frameworks — from Jamaica's TRN to Guyana's GRA TIN requirements — directly into its architecture, not as an add- on.
Unified Infrastructure
Most Caribbean businesses juggle disconnected spreadsheets and systems. TropiPay consolidates payroll, HR, and compliance into a single digital platform that reduces gaps and errors.
Built to Scale
Whether managing a small local workforce or expanding across multiple Caribbean jurisdictions, TropiPay provides the infrastructure to grow responsibly and compliantly.
Caribbean compliance built in, not bolted on
TropiPay incorporates jurisdiction-specific compliance frameworks as a core part of the platform, not an afterthought. Each territory's statutory obligations are embedded and automatically applied.
